Laurel KochI am Laurel Koch, an undergraduate freshman at Duke University from Long Island, NY. I recently joined the Lutzoni lab as a research assistant studying plant-fungal endosymbiosis. I am working primarily with Dr. Ryoko Oono on her projects concerning fungal endophytes on loblolly pine seedlings. I am very interested in biology and I find relationships between plants and microbes intriguing. Although I have not yet declared a major, biology seems to be a great option, and I am really enjoying exploring this in the lab. |
