Recently, members of our lab (O’Brien et al., 2009) designed a new Peltigera-specific primer for this gene:
bt_34F: 5′-TTCTCCCCACGCGTCTAC-3′
It is a forward primer that anneals to part of the intron sequence adjacent to the T1 priming site.
