Education: 
Lindsay is a junior majoring in biology and specializing in plant systematics. She joined our lab in January, 2004 as a work-study student. Her duties include general lab maintenance, isolation and maintenance of fungal endophyte cultures, DNA extraction and PCR, sequencing, and data analysis.

Lindsay has recently been awarded a summer fellowship to participate in the REU program in Phylogenetics and Bioinformatics at Duke. In May, she will embark on an independent research project in the Lutzoni lab focusing on the diversity of ‘unculturable’ endophytes associated with representatives of several major lineages of land plants.
